Jilly,

I have A David Alexander Stevenson MUNRO who farmed on Wester Muir Dean near Kelso along with his brother (Dr.) Thomas Murray Munro. This i know by the 1881 census. But after this time I cannot find any trace of if they married, moved on or was taken by aliens into outer space and probed as experiements?? ( well that last bit was a bit too far........)

No hurry, but oneday if you have the chance have a little look for me...... I eill send you a nice shiny $20.00 note which should convert in to nearly ten pounds to cover petrol costs .... if you email your snail mail address to me via pm....

ron munro

Munro, a great scottish name .. but said with an australian accent!
Some people worry about their past catching up with them - I'm trying to catch up with my past.

Yes been to scotlands people and have gained heaps from there. thats where i got my 1881 census from and where the search trail for my elusive david alexander stevenson Munro (pronounces mun-ro) and his brother came to a stop. A great place if you are searching in the scottish area. I have had success with a direct living link to my DOWELLs of Arbirlot in the southern area of ENg on the coast of the bristol channel so i would like to also get a link back to a living relative to my MUNROs also.

but still "Looking for Dead People"

Just thought i would post this sight here.

I did add it to Wattler thread on GR about a month ago. Some peeps may already know about it, or used it before.?

It became available back in 2001 and was on the Aussie net...for peeps who had relo's coming in from O/seas.....and mostly Aussie researchers/family history buffs added their Family surnames to it.

It dissapeared around 2003/4 and has now become accessible again for whatever reason.

"Click" on... search... for A-Z list of surnames........The search Surname box dosent appear to be operating...but Alphabet A to Z is...
